Practice Mode
Run timed drills with music, sound effects, and a buzzer between sets. Curated playlists built in. This 1:53 walkthrough was recorded on an iPhone with a baseball team, because this part of the app works the same way whatever sport you run. It is a step in the setup path for Baseball, Softball, Football, Basketball, Soccer, Hockey, Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Volleyball, Wrestling, Cheer, Flag Football, Rugby and Cricket. The narration is written out below if you would rather read than watch.
What the video says
The narration, line by line, as it is spoken in the video.
Practice Mode runs music on a timer so you're not standing there with a stopwatch in one hand and a phone in the other. You build a session once, hit start, and it runs practice for you.
Start by adding the songs you want. This isn't a game, so you're after energy that lasts — the list keeps playing rather than firing one track at a moment.
Then turn on Switch Songs on a Timer. Each song plays for the length you set, a buzzer fires at the end, and the next one starts. That's your drill clock, and nobody has to watch it.
Pick one of the preset lengths or set your own. Short intervals for conditioning, longer ones for skill work — the point is that the whistle isn't coming from you.
You can also stop after a set number of drills, and the app tells you exactly how long that adds up to before you start. Ten drills at ninety seconds, and it'll tell you that's fifteen minutes.
The drill end sound is the buzzer itself, and you can change it. It's what the players will actually be listening for, so pick something that carries across a field.
If every block being the same length doesn't fit your practice, build a plan instead. Each block gets its own name and its own length — warm-up, batting, conditioning — so the session follows your actual practice plan rather than a flat timer.
While it's running you see which drill you're on, how many are left, and what's coming next. You can skip ahead if a drill wraps early, or stop the whole thing.
At the end it gives you a summary — total time, drills completed. Build one session per practice type and you'll reuse them all season.
